Sunday 23rd August 2020
When the dragons return to Reading it really will be a great family fun day not to be missed, with the spectacle of the racing on the water alongside many landside attractions from community stalls to landside games and even a bar, there really is something for everyone.
Even if you are not participating in the boat racing it will be a festival not to be missed, a picnic and walk by the riverside, surrounded by a great family atmosphere and lots to see and do.
Where is the event?
Wokingham Waterside Centre
Thames Valley Park Drive
Thames Valley Park
Berkshire RG6 1PQ
(at the end of the A3290)
Team registration will open at 09:00 and close at 10:00, the first teams will be called up over the PA system for their safety and technical briefing, with the first race to start at around 10:20. Racing in the qualifying heats will then go on until around 16:30, after which the announcements for the teams competing in the Grand Final will be made. The Grand Final is expected to take place around 16:45 with the exact time dependent on final team numbers.
Extra training and technical advice will be provided by your helm each time you go out for a race, to try and give you the cutting edge. Our helms are just as competitive as you will be and will try everything to help you win each race.
